Was the Woman Here First? Part Three extends the author's argument from the first two books: the ungendered Hebrew term ha adam and the biological case that the X chromosome predates the Y; into the realm of history and lived culture, arguing that precolonial African societies were fundamentally matrilineal, with women controlling land and food production, ruling as queens like Nefertiti, Makeda, and Candace Amanirena of Nubia (whose forces famously repelled Rome), and anchoring daily life through a governing triumvirate of female relatives the author witnessed firsthand growing up in South Africa. The book traces how this structure was steadily dismantled by the introduction of Islam, Christianity, and European colonial rule, and closes by tying all three books together into a single argument: that the text, the biology, and the history all point toward the same conclusion the tradition has spent centuries denying.
